Abstract

The proximate compositions of dried cabbage leaf residues were evaluated using standard procedures. The result for the proximate composition showed the contents of moisture (95.7%), ash (23.3%), Crude fibre (25.2%), Crude protein (11.81%), Ether extract (2.40%), Nitrogen Free Extract (37.29) and calorie value of 1957.09kcal/kg. Ether extract was not significant (P>0.05) in T1 (4.93%) and T4 (4.81%) but significantly different from T2 (5.36%) and T3 (5.36%).
