THE INFLUENCE OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON THE DELIVERY OF QUALITY EDUCATION IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN EDO STATE
Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the influence of Human resource management practices on quality delivery of education in Public Universities in Edo State. To guide the study, four research questions were raised and four hypotheses were formulated. Research Questions Hypotheses Correlational research design was used in this study and the population of the study consisted of 704 administrative staff of Ambrose Alli University and University of Benin and 430 final year students of Public Administration of the two named universities. The sample size comprised 141 members of the administrative staff and the final year students of public administration constituting 20% and 30% respectively. The instrument used for the study was a questionnaire titled �Human Resource Management Practice Questionnaire�. The instrument was validated by three experts. Data collected was analyzed using the Cronbach Alpha statistics and the instrument obtained an r-value of 0.79 which shows it is reliable enough for use.
